How to avoid dementia
Inactivity may put you at greater risk for developing dementia. Researchers, whose study was published in the Journal of Alzheimer's Disease, followed 1,646 older people over 5 years. They found that leading a sedentary lifestyle put people at risk of developing dementia, even though they had no genetic predisposition for developing it.
This is a significant and positive finding, as it indicates that YOU have control. Exercising and keeping your body active is a great way to keep your mind healthy as you age. Now that's a reason to get moving. Don't you think?
