If you are 65 or older, I have some good news. You don't have to make exercise a long, time consuming event, because just 15 minutes of focused movement will yield positive health benefits.

Researchers, whose study was published in The British Journal of Sports Medicine, analyzed data from over 123,000 subjects. They concluded that people who exercise just 15 minutes each day can lower mortality risk by 22%!

What does this mean to you? If you can follow the CDC recommendations and achieve 150 minutes of moderate intensity activity as well as 2 days of strength training, that's great. You may be able to lower your mortality risk by up to 35%! However, if that number seems overwhelming and unachievable, don't throw the towel in. 15 minutes can make a significant, beneficial impact when it comes to healthy and active aging. Now get moving!
