It's flu season. What are you doing to protect yourself from coming down with a sore throat, achy muscles and a stuffed head?

Researchers, whose study is cited in January's IDEA Fitness Journal, say prevention is just a workout away. That's right. Daily exercise reduces the chances of contracting upper respiratory infections by 40-50%.

Exercise, then, is nearly as effective as getting the flu vaccine. That's a good reason to hit the gym.
