You've heard of the Dirty Dozen and the Clean Fifteen, but what about the Dirty Dozen Plus? The list, compiled as a part of Environmental Working Group's 2013 Shopper's Guide to Pesticides in Produce, is worth your attention.

The produce that made the distinctive list is commonly contaminated with pesticides toxic to the nervous system.

What made the list?

  1. Kale
  2. Collard greens
  3. Summer squash
Don't abandon these vegetables, which are exceptionally healthy foods. Look for the organic variety instead.
