Can Americans be seduced into eating veggies?

I can sympathize with the health experts.  Despite pouring millions into educational initiatives, tax incentives, and healthy eating programs, Americans continue to reach for the bag of chips over the bag of carrots.  In September the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued a report that shows fruit consumption is down and vegetable consumption is unchanged.

And so, in this environment, the carrot industry decided to take matters into its own hands, making carrots sexy, seductive, and, well, erotic.  Sex sells, right?  Why shouldn't the carrot industry get in on the game?

While I applaud the creative thinking, I'm not so sure about its believability.  Of course there is nothing sexier than a strong, healthy body.  But the link between carrots and seduction is a bit too abstract.  Don't think I'll be tempted seduce my husband with a bunch of carrots.

What do you think?  Can vegetables be sexy?
