Will Sex Motivate You?

You are trying to motivate yourself to exercise and you can't. You know you should. It would probably make you feel better. It is good for your health, blah, blah blah.

Frankly, those reasons just aren't moving you. You are tired. You are working late on projects. You are up all night with a newborn. You are stressing about your financial situation. The list goes on...

Exercise is not on the short list, no matter how much you feel it should be.

Let's approach this from an angle that is potentially more exciting than the standard reasons for exercise.

Did you know that exercise alone can improve your body image and that, in turn, can dramatically effect your desire for sex?

This is a very good thing.

If you begin exercise, you can address two issues at once: you can change how you feel about yourself and enhance your relationship with your husband or significant other. Now if you can't be motivated by a better body image and a better sex life, I am not sure how much more I can do to motivate you. I mean, this is worth working toward, right?

Pick up your sneakers and get outside. Do some strength training to tone that body. Though you may not be ready to answer the door naked with a martini when your husband comes home just yet, with perseverance it will come. Perhaps you can start with a bathrobe.
